Job Purpose

To provide cost analysis for Management on projects to enable informed decision-making and proper budgeting.

Job Description

• Applies approved section policies, processes, and procedures and monitors adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.
• Applies the day-to-day operations assigned for the Project Design and Construction Department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
• Monitors project cost reviewing actual spending vs budgeted amount in order to determine variances.
• Conducts cost-benefit analysis and cash flow analysis as requested by Management to enable them to make more informed decisions regarding projects.
• Prepares accounting accruals related to project to ensure that the books correctly reflect the value of the project.
• Provides inputs into the preparation of the project capital expenditure budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed
• Prepares individual budgets for each phase of a large project, based on the overall project budget in order to gain further clarity in to costs and to allow more rigid controls.
• Prepares section reports in a timely and accurate manner to meet Company and section requirements, policies and standards.
• Complies with all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.

Academic and professional qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering

Experience

Minimum 4 years of experience in Oil and Gas Industry
