A reputable manufacturing company in Exton, PA is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join their dynamic team.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design and development of their industry-leading valve products. You will also be involved in various order-related engineering activities, including the creation of special bills-of-material, unique parts, and ensuring compliance with specific customer requirements for unique valve applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop valve products in accordance with product line, customer, and industry specifications.
- Generate design drawings of component parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies, along with bills-of-material, routings, and product maintenance manuals.
- Collaborate with their manufacturing team to review and enhance designs for manufacturability.
- Liaise with their internal sales and production planning teams to address orders and production issues.
- Engage with customers and authorized representatives on customer-specific projects.
- Develop cost estimates of products and quotations for valve products under the guidance of the Engineering Manager.
- Conduct flow testing of their valve products.
- Travel to customer sites to provide technical support for valve issues, which may involve hands-on repair work or directing repair technicians.
- Provide product training to their authorized sales representatives.
- Manage documents through check, approval, release, and revision processes.
- Develop specifications and material requisitions as needed for raw materials or purchased components used in production.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a consistent state of alertness.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- A BSME or other relevant BS level engineering degree.
- Entry-level engineering and valve design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCad or SolidWorks design.
- Expertise with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing concepts and processes.
- Excellent English language skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows operating system.
