You will be joining the company at an exciting time of growth. The Senior Manager, Manufacturing Engineering and Operations is a key member of the engineering and production team. You will perform your complex duties in a highly-visible role to senior leadership reporting directly to the CEO. You will lead key activities and influence business results in our Technology and Production Center (TPC).


This role will be performed Onsite at our Macomb, MI facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead manufacturing activities for new product development releases and production volumes to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Collaborate in new product development process in the design and ramp up to production including design, CNC programming, and execution of first article production.
  • Troubleshoot and improve operations including but not limited to fixturing issues, CNC program and/or parameter issues, and expendable tooling issues.
  • Manage manufactory labor cost targets, departmental budgets, and plant expenditures to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with leadership to build future capability for facilities, equipment, and workforce to ensure capacity meets business needs.
  • Champion lean manufacturing activities and continuous improvement projects such as cost reduction, efficiency improvement, and headcount.
  • Lead special projects as directed to grow Dapra's capabilities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive management experience and (5) years of production machining experience.
  • Experience designing, programming, and tooling for CNC machining in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical, communication, and computer skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), SharePoint, and MS Project.
  • Very strong leadership qualities and experience.
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage change and priorities and coordinate/realign project resources as necessary.
