We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT systems, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure.

In this role, you will:

1. Administer and manage O365 environments, ensuring optimal performance and security.
2. Oversee collaboration tools, with a focus on email and Microsoft Teams, to enhance communication and productivity.
3. Champion the testing and implementation of new features in collaboration tools, driving user adoption and engagement.
4. Manage and maintain Windows server environments, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
5. Provide cloud expertise in either Azure or AWS, supporting cloud-based solutions and infrastructure.
6. Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline IT processes and improve operational efficiency.
7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of IT systems and solutions.
8. Act as a resource for others at peer or above level; may lead projects with limited risks and resource requirements.
9. Solve complex problems by taking a new perspective on developing solutions; exercises judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
10. Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related/connected teams; guided by broad guidelines and policies.

Your background:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in IT systems engineering or a related role.
3. Proven experience with O365 administration.
4. Proficiency with collaboration tools such as email, SharePoint, and Teams.
5. Solid knowledge of identity management systems including Active Directory and Entra ID.
6. Solid knowledge of Windows server administration.
7. Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure or AWS).
8. Experience with automation tools and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform).
9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
10. Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Additionally, it would be beneficial if you have:

1. Experience with hybrid identity management and migrations.
2. Knowledge of email protection mechanisms.
3. Working knowledge of virtualization technologies.
4. Experience with SQL Server administration.
5. Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
6. Familiarity with ITIL best practices.
