Our client is seeking talented individuals to join their thriving waterfront and coastal design group. If you're passionate about making an impact and crave the chance to contribute to significant waterfront infrastructure projects, this role might be for you.

Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):

  • Managing various waterfront and coastal projects of different scales and complexities.
  • Creating and overseeing project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Acting as a technical lead in designing waterfront projects, including drafting construction drawings, preparing technical specifications, and managing regulatory filings.
  • Supervising on-site field staff and serving as the primary point of contact in client and contractor discussions.
  • Providing technical guidance and training to team members as needed.
  • Playing a significant role in securing new business opportunities, including proposal preparation, client engagement, and networking activities.
  • Mentoring and developing junior staff members.

Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Waterfront, Coastal, or Structural Engineering, or similar field.
  • At least 8 years of experience working on waterfront and coastal design projects, preferably with structural elements. Prior involvement in marine, bridge, or heavy civil engineering design is advantageous.
  • Professional engineering licensure in Atlantic and/or New England states, or eligibility to obtain reciprocity within 1 year of hire.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and business development opportunities, including overnight stays when necessary.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Preferred experience with coastal circulation and wave modeling programs, beach nourishment, living shoreline projects, regulatory/environmental permitting, hydraulic modeling for stormwater collection systems, and coastal outfall structure design.
  • Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
