Engineering Technician

PLC Eng Technician

Framingham, MA

Pay Rate: $35 to $40 per hour

Hours are Mon-Fri, 7:00AM-3:30PM.

Our client, a leader in advanced propulsion and power systems for aerospace and defense, is seeking an Engineering Technician specializing in PLCs, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality production and R&D facilities.

Responsibilities

• Set up, support, and conduct preventative maintenance for production and R&D facilities.
• Maintain and enhance manufacturing infrastructure, including aerospace vacuum tanks, machining, welding, brazing operations, and X-ray inspection.
• Implement facility changes to enhance and expand operational capabilities as needed.
• Support the installation and operation of specific equipment and appliances.
• Ensure compliance with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) regulations, including OSHA, ISO-9001, fire safety, and security protocols (access and surveillance).
• Oversee maintenance of facilities, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and facility management

Qualifications

• Electrical installation and design
• PLC programming, controller design and installation for vacuum control systems
• Prior experience with vacuum systems (low, High and UHV) systems
• Prior experience with general maintenance including HVAC, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance.
