Job Summary
We are looking for a strategic thinker with strong cloud architecture and developer experience to join our Cloud Platform Engineering team. As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, focusing on automation, security, and continuous delivery. You will collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure scalable cloud solutions while optimizing environments for both performance and cost.
Essential Functions
- Lead the design, implementation, and administration of cloud-based automation tools, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
- Build and maintain monitoring tools for AWS infrastructure and systems.
- Evaluate and operationalize new tools, technologies, and cloud services.
- Collaborate with software engineering to define infrastructure requirements, ensuring adherence to security standards and cloud architecture best practices.
- Optimize cloud environments for performance and cost-effectiveness.
Skills & Abilities Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, software development, or equivalent technical fields.
- 4+ years of enterprise AWS cloud experience, including compute, storage, database, networking, and security services.
- 2+ years of experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, Git, Nexus, and Harness.
- Proficient in scripting languages (Python, Bash, Ruby, Powershell, or Groovy), cloud automation templating (CloudFormation or Terraform), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Chef).
- Experience with AWS serverless technologies, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and messaging systems (SQS, Kinesis).
- Strong skills in distributed application development (Java or Python) and microservices architecture.
Required Technical Skills
- Expertise in CI/CD tools, cloud automation, and infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with log aggregation, monitoring tools (OpenSearch, CloudWatch), and APM solutions.
- Knowledge of AWS serverless solutions, container orchestration, and cloud messaging technologies.

Your Team
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Cloud Platform Engineering. You will work with a team of 3-5 peers and collaborate with cross-functional departments regularly.
