Civil Engineer

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with site development and site infrastructure experience to expand our Engineering business. This is a hybrid position . Qualified candidates must have a Pennsylvania PE and willing to obtain their Ohio and West Virginia license.

Ideal Candidate will:

• Managing the planning and design stages of civil engineering projects.
• Performing work in all aspects of project planning, design and plan preparation for land development projects, as well as stormwater management plan development, erosion and sedimentation control planning, design and permitting.
• Completion of various land development and environmental permitting applications
• Attend meetings with municipal officials, engineers, developers, and contractors.
• Prepare and complete NPDES permit packages
• Researching zoning codes and ordinance requirements for project sites
• Coordinate with Project and Production Managers to ensure project deadlines are met
• Coordination with municipalities, utility companies and other public regulatory agencies
• Prepare project technical reports and specifications
• Site layout/ zoning analysis
• Grading / earthwork
• Performing due diligence on the impact and feasibility of new construction sites.
• Overseeing all project stages from preliminary layouts to final engineering designs.
• Surveying new construction sites and assessing existing structures for upgrades.
• Designing and recommending improvements to computer-aided design (CAD) software drawings and schematics.
• Performing cost estimations and preparing project budgets.
• Ensuring that civil engineering projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Inspecting completed projects for compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• Pennsylvania PE (Ohio and/or WV a plus)
• A minimum of 4 years' experience working as a civil engineer on similar projects.
• Proficiency in civil engineering project management software, such as Civil 3D and CAD.
• In-depth knowledge of civil engineering and construction specifications, standards, and codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a motivated team player that gets along well with others
• Can take direction well and work independently for periods of time
• Must be a problem solver, multi-tasker and positive thinker
