TalEx has partnered with a growing company with a growing product and customer base in the Hybrid-IT Service Assurance industry. Our product interacts with every service, server, cloud, and technology that a company owns and needs to monitor to ensure that everything is operating smoothly, or else quickly find the problems that need to be solved.
Their Front-End team is comprised of several growing Agile teams working together to build a new SaaS-based UI on top of our existing product/API while also building a positive culture of sharing ideas and team growth. What you’ll be doing…
Joining an Agile team that is primarily located in Reston:
- Work on an Agile development team building a new UI for a successful and growing product. There is still a LOT of invention that needs to be done.
- With a heavier focus on server-side JavaScript, work with some of the latest JavaScript frameworks and tools (Node, React, Redux, GraphQL, etc.), collaborate with your team, Product Management, Architecture, and the UX Team to design and build intuitive workflows and visualizations.
- Design, collaborate, write code, write automated tests, review other engineers' code, and participate in every part of the team process.
- Share your new ideas, experiences, and expertise to help the team and our product improve.
- Be a member of a team that takes pride in what they do and has fun along the way.
Qualities you possess…
You have a knack for developing applications that are both intuitive and innovative and you also possess the following:
- BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3-5+ years of software development experience of progressively complex applications in JavaScript.
- Must have experience with server-side JavaScript (Node.js).
- Experience in browser-side application architectures like React, Redux, Relay, Ember, Alt.js, Angular, Polymer, Meteor, etc. is highly desirable.
- Experience in using and/or developing APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.) is desirable.
- Experience in delivering products using Agile methodology is highly desirable.
- Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Got GIT, Jenkins, NPM, Gulp, Docker, nginx experience you want to leverage? Bring it!
- Experience in the area of network or systems management is a plus.
- Experience using or interacting with other backend languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++) is a plus.
