Systems Engineer

Description:
Seeking a Systems Engineer to join a small team of top-notch developers coming from Fortune 100 companies. The candidate should be able to work in a collaborative, team-based work environment and be self-directed toward excellence. Highly organized and ability to thrive in ambiguity.

Requirements:

1. Mastery of the UNIX programming environment
2. Experience implementing distributed systems
3. Experience with test-driven development (TDD)
4. Demonstrable skills in one of the following scripting languages: Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Perl, Bash
5. Experience with document-oriented storage CouchDB / BigCouch (or equivalent)
6. Familiarity with MVCC
7. Comfortable working collaboratively with GitHub
8. Experience with at least one functional programming language a huge plus (Erlang, Haskell, Scala, Prolog, etc.)
9. Experience with NodeJS and its idioms/ecosystem a huge plus
