2025 University Grad - Avionics Systems Integration and Test Engineer I, Lunar Permanence

This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building the sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the Lunar Surface.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop test plans, procedures, and scripts to be executed on the Vehicle Test Bed (VTB).
- Conduct formal verification and validation testing and document test results per program requirements.
- Support the integration of vehicle hardware, ground support equipment, operator consoles, and analysis tooling necessary to verify the requirements and performance of units under test within the VTB.
- Debug and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in a lab environment.
- Design, develop, and implement VTB test tools and software to automate testing processes and improve efficiency.
- Support integration and test activities including wiring, hardware installation, and test bench setup.
- Participate in design and system reviews to provide feedback on integration and testability throughout all phases of the project.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate hardware simulation and fault injection solutions with real-time vehicle simulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
- Must be able to graduate and start on/before September 2025.
- Proficient in the use of standard electronic lab tests and troubleshooting equipment.
- Preference for and ability to thrive as a member of a small, tightly integrated team.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
- M.S. degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
- Experience with the development and execution of a large-scale verification of avionics on autonomous spaceflight systems.
- Experience supporting testbeds for spaceflight systems.
- Experience with programming in C++ and/or Python, Simulink experience.
Compensation Range: WA applicants is $75,510.00-$105,714.00. Other site ranges may differ.
