Staff Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to lead our AI safety initiative and ensure the safe development of our generative AI technology.

As Staff Software Engineer – AI Safety, you will be leading a team of engineers to develop ideas and products that safeguard Intuit's generative AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Lead development efforts to build software to safeguard our AI ecosystem.
• Provide technical leadership and be a role model and mentor to engineers.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the risks and potential dangers associated with the use of AI.
• Advocate for the highest standards for engineering design, implementation, and testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for the use of AI at Intuit, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• BS/MS in computer science/engineering or equivalent work experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in software engineering and security.
• Expert knowledge of backend software development (Java and Python).
• Experience with AI technologies such as SageMaker, LangChain, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, DialogFlow.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels - from front line engineers and non-technical stakeholders, to senior leaders in engineering or at the executive level.
• Ability to drive velocity while partnering with data science engineering teams across multiple time zones.
