This company is looking for a Sr Software Engineer for a 12-month contract engagement. This engineer will be supporting their Cloud Platform Delivery team and will be at the center of their technology modernization strategy. The ideal engineer will have experience developing APIs, using NodeJS & TypeScript, and have experience with data engineering, anomaly detection, statistics, and machine learning ops. This candidate should have experience with some system engineering, and more specifically, experience with Kubernetes & KubeFlow (or an alternative to KubeFlow).
Your daily activities as a Software Engineer will include working on a development team creating new banking applications and shared platform services using an innovative technology stack as well as engaging daily with other Software engineers, Product owners, and Business Analysts, on your team and across the organization.
What you would be responsible for:
- Defines or refines standards for the design and development of software. Collaborates with developers, QA, operations, and management to provide technical direction in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Completes product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification, and resolution.
- Performs system analysis and programming activities which require extensive research and analysis.
- Provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application.
- Develops and tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
- Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. Oversees the definition and documentation of standards. Contributes to defining and improving department processes.
- Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits.
May Perform Other Functions As Assigned
