As a Project Engineer with the PFAS Solutions team, you are responsible for managing the technical aspects of assigned projects, performing the engineering and design work required within the budget allocated to meet the requirements of customer specifications.

The role is based in our Salt Lake City Office and will enjoy our hybrid working model.

Expected domestic travel is 10-40%.

What is the role?

  • Manage the mechanical technical aspects within a multi-disciplinary team for the development and commercialization of effective and safe products for the treatment of per-and polyfluoroalkyl substances PFAS.
  • Establish appropriate design methods, sizing, and costing programs in coordination with other engineering disciplines.
  • Check calculations, models, layouts, detailed drawings, specifications, and instructions prepared by drafters/designers and other engineers.
  • Ability to read and understand fabrication, erection, and standard engineering drawings.
  • Communicate directly with the customer together with the project manager to resolve technical issues.
  • Direct the execution of design projects and provide technical support to shop and field start-up services.
  • Document and update design procedures on a regular basis.
  • Advise project engineers, project managers, and/or other managers on project status.
  • Conduct quality control and quality assurance tests and ensure designs are compliant with the clients' technical requirements and budgets.
  • Assist in marketing business opportunities with key clients and development of responses to RFP/RFQs.
  • Travel to the project site to conduct project-related tasks; provide timely responses to managers and clients on project tasks.

Does this sound like you?

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Process Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 8-10+ years of engineering-related experience in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Professional Engineering Registration preferred CPEng, RPEQ, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, SCADA, structural and architectural disciplines along with working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical equations to complex situations.
