SMMA has an opportunity for a Mid-Level HVAC Design Engineer. This position offers the ability to work on a range of multiple design project types and requires a good balance of technical, communication, and organizational skills.Our Engineering team is a part of an integrated, multi-disciplinary design firm with a dynamic mix of architects and engineers. We pride ourselves on having a culture that promotes a balanced life/work approach.Key Responsibilities:Prepare HVAC calculationsPrepare HVAC drawings utilizing Autodesk Revit Building Information Modelling (BIM) SoftwareSelect HVAC equipmentProvide interdisciplinary coordinationReview construction administration submittalsProvide field surveys and other tasks related to construction site visits.Requirements:3-6 years of experience in HVAC systems designStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenEIT/PE Registration is preferredKnowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, Excel, Load Calculation programs, MS OfficeAble to perform site visits on active construction sitesAbout the FirmSMMA is one of New England's most unique design firms due to our composition, reputation, and focus.
