Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead and drive Azure Cloud/Databricks.
- Own the responsibility - Data Supply Chain.
- Strategic and proactive accountability to define, execute and monitor the implementation of the strategy for products and solutions deployed for the Global Data Lake.
- Lead communication across lines of businesses and technology partners to monitor, collect, review, and roadmap business requirements, and related solutions.
- Evaluate Client's existing data platforms technologies, data usage; develop solid relationships with business stakeholders to develop use cases that result in overall business value and cost effectiveness of the platforms for the firm.
- Manage the Global Data Lake from ingestion to storage, data curation and the provisioning of data to points of impact.
- Establish platform governance via data-flow-diagrams, and system-design reviews for all new initiatives and existing programs; develop and implement business processes and controls for the operational management of the Global Data Lake eco-system.
- Assist in advancing emerging platform features for machine learning, advanced analytics, cloud data warehousing, and metadata management; as well as assist in processes to evaluate tools and vendors with rationalization across data and analytics, and drive consistency.
Qualifications
- Minimum twelve years of direct experience in program management within a federated data services organization with at least ten years of experience in relevant skills and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience with Big Data (HDFS) and Cloud eco-systems: developing Global Data Lake business strategy, developing business requirements and roadmaps; and designing operating business operations processes, controls and procedures for the Global Data Lake; to include being familiar with or working experience with Big data technologies; Azure Databricks, Azure Cloud Architecture, Azure Service Bus, MapReduce, Spark, Fume, Kafka, and Storm.
- Prior knowledge working with various vendors and evaluating against the business needs; developing POCs and driving forward pilots; as well as experience with managing Metadata and Data Quality in big data environments.
- Ability to foster the development of high performance teams; capable of building strong professional relationships with ability to influence all levels across the organization; must be able to set and execute strategic initiatives for team; creative thinker with ability to identify innovative business solutions; ability to develop strategic organization and resource plans, defining next generation business and leadership needs.
- Strong communication skills and ability to present complex information concisely through written & verbal communication; experience hosting interviews, brainstorms / workshops with business teams and executives on data-related topics / projects.
