Senior Java/AWS Developer
Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Full Stack engineer with experience developing and building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Responsibilities
- Involve in various phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and work in a highly dynamic Agile environment.
- Design and develop software using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices.
- Hands-on AWS experience in EKS, ECS, AWS Lambda, Terraform, AWS Aurora Postgres, AWS logging and monitoring using Datadog, AWS Security groups, AWS MSK (Kafka).
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade software.
- Testing and fixing bugs or other coding issues.
- Add value to team delivery and work with the team to complete tasks to high quality and actively learn new skills.
Qualifications
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, Angular, Oracle, Kafka.
- Experienced with AWS cloud technologies (EKS, Fargate, Lambda, S3, RDS, Terraform). AWS Developer or Solution Architect certification preferred.
- Good to have experience in any rules engine (e.g., Drools).
- Good to have experience in JPMC on-premises cloud (Gaia).
- Build and deployment tools like Jules and Jenkins.
- Strong communication skills and experience in delivering projects in Scrum agile methodology.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving.
- Being a self-starter, quick learner, detail-oriented.
