Description: IS4S is a small company doing groundbreaking work for the Department of Defense in areas including Satellite Communications, Positioning, Navigation and Timing (PNT), and Electronic Warfare (EW). Our office in Aberdeen MD is looking to add an experienced Network engineer to help maintain Army satellite communications networks around the world. This job is on-site and will require at least three days/week in the office. Travel is required and is expected to be 20%.
Job Roles: Work in a team environment to design, plan, install, and maintain Army satellite communications networks.
Required experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience. Preferably, a candidate will have experience with: the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) and the Global Information Grid (GIG); the development of Network Architectures; Networking Hardware, Protocols, Concepts, and Security; experience with protocols including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP; experience with products including Riverhead Steelhead, Citrix WAN Scaler, Cisco ASA, and Fire Power.
Minimum education requirement: High school degree.
