Duties/Responsibilities :
- Develop stormwater management plans, including analysis and design of stormwater systems (e.g., drainage channels, detention basins, culverts).
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using software such as HEC-RAS, SWMM, or similar tools.
- Prepare engineering reports, drawings, and specifications for project proposals and permitting.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and contractors.
- Conduct site evaluations, field inspections, and oversee construction to ensure project compliance with design specifications and local regulations.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, schedules, and proposals.
- Provide technical support and mentorship to junior staff.
- Determine and develop the most effective site solution utilizing a suite of Stormwater product offerings.
- Present project-specific solutions to civil engineering specifiers.
- Provide design calculations and drawings for integration into civil engineering plans to secure product solutions on site plans.
- Respond to civil engineers on project-specific inquiries and industry questions including local stormwater regulations.
- Establish and maintain rapport with civil engineer specifiers.
- Support area and internal team members to achieve team goals.
- Provide project and technical support for submittal drawings, calculations, regulatory approvals, production, and product delivery.
- Recording project information accurately.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in civil/stormwater engineering.
- Strong knowledge of CAD software and drafting procedures.
- Proficiency in civil engineering software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation).
- Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to stormwater management.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Experience with green infrastructure and low-impact development (LID) design.
- Familiarity with stormwater quality modeling and best management practices (BMPs).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing project needs.
