Applications Engineer (Electro-Mechanical Products)

We are seeking a skilled and driven Applications Engineer to join our team, specializing in electric linear actuators. In this role, you will lead complex projects to design-in electric linear actuators into customer applications, providing comprehensive technical and application support. You’ll work closely with sales staff and customers across multiple market segments, offering solutions for mechanical, electronic, and software products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex customer projects, including the design and integration of electric linear actuators into customer applications.
• Provide technical support and application assistance to both internal teams and external customers.
• Collaborate with sales engineering teams to address customer concerns, sales inquiries, and product-specific issues.
• Offer advanced troubleshooting and application redesign, working on innovative co-development projects with customers.
• Lead the transition of new, complex projects from prototype to production, overseeing testing, coordination, and communication with sales on initial production runs.
• Develop and implement detailed project plans, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project completion.
• Conduct and organize First Article Launch (FAL), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), and product testing.
• Serve as a liaison between customers and the product team, assisting in identifying new customers and market opportunities.
• Identify product gaps and competitive weaknesses, providing insights to the product development team.
• Participate in trade shows, customer site visits, and product training to stay updated on market trends and customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Must have comprehensive electronic/mechanical aptitude
• Detail orientation
• 2-5 years' experience in applications engineering, technical sales or project management is required.
