We are seeking to hire a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who has strong technical abilities and is capable of bringing projects through to completion. You will work with a team of engineers to ensure the smooth functioning of production lines; to develop new techniques; to modify existing designs; and to coordinate process improvement projects. Your technical knowledge and leadership skills will play a vital role in developing products that meet our customer needs. This is a full-time, on-site position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop reliable processes for manufacturing to meet company goals for volume and yield
  • Establish stable and capable processes meeting company manufacturing and quality goals
  • Implement process development discipline and best practices
  • Explore and develop novel processes as designs evolve
  • Lead process engineering development and continuous improvement
  • Coordinate work with other senior management and team leads
  • Develop process windows and operational specifications for product manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate process changes, and material/composition interactions
  • Conduct process trials with appropriate protocols and documentation
  • Conduct installation qualification of manufacturing equipment, operation qualification, and process qualification

Skills, Experience, and Education

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Process Engineering leadership role in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated qualification of manufacturing processes and transfer to production
  • Utilize Design of Experiments (DOE) methods to develop processes
  • Worked under ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 manufacturing standards
  • Medical device manufacturing preferred
  • Process and yield improvement experience
  • Experience managing a team of engineers and technicians
  • Working knowledge of Converting; Roll to Roll Coating and Die Cutting, Placement, Alignment, Screen Printing and Vision system expertise
  • Process validation/verification and FMEA
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting designs not working as planned, asking the right questions and finding answers that work
  • Ingenuity for using the broad concepts of chemical engineering and applying them to address specific production problems
  • Interpersonal skills in developing positive working relationships with other employees working with the production process
  • Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • Must be able to wear PPE for extended periods of time.
  • Advanced fine motor skills
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs.
