We are seeking a Top-Secret cleared Quality Assurance Engineer SME to join our team. This team is responsible for providing IT product lifecycle management, technical expertise, and support for the development and operations lifecycle. The team is engaged in the operation and enhancement of over 80 existing IT applications, including several new applications developed annually. Team activities cover information systems operations, information systems development and modernization, and IT security.

The operation of existing applications and new application initiatives are critical to the success of the mission. Additionally, thousands of personnel in the law enforcement, intelligence, legal, and administrative communities use these services on a daily basis to perform mission-critical work. These applications require responsive, effective, and specialized technical expertise to limit disruption to operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop or refine Quality Assurance (QA) procedures.
  • Perform QA on new and existing applications or application enhancements.
  • Support the Insider Threat Office mission operations contract staff responsible for maintaining several legacy systems, minor enhancements to still-in-use applications, ensuring continued authority to operate, and ultimately for sunsetting those systems after their functions have been subsumed or replaced by the Insider & Security Analytics Platform.
  • This team is accountable for system administration, information system security accreditation, database administration, physical infrastructure maintenance, and software development.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
  • Experience with Quality Assurance with software/application development teams.

DESIRE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Docker, Microsoft SQL, Oracle databases, Angular, JavaScript including Ember.js, Spring Boot, Spring, in addition to a focus on cloud skillsets, specifically AWS solution architecture.
  • Linux, VMWare vSphere 6/7, or SPLUNK experience a plus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Location: Washington DC/DC Metro, and Huntsville AL.
  • Type of environment: Office.
  • Noise level: Medium.
  • Work schedule: Schedule is day shift Monday - Friday (typical shift is between 8am-5pm EST).
  • Amount of Travel: Less than 10%.

WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE

  • U.S. Citizen.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance.
