Senior Controls Engineer

Location: Sterling, MA (Relocation Assistance Available)

Live Automation, Inc., a leading Automation Systems Integrator experiencing dynamic growth, is seeking a skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team in Sterling, MA. Key Responsibilities:

  • PLC and HMI Programming: Design, program, and configure PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems using industry-standard software tools such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric.
  • System Integration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate control systems with existing manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • System Analysis and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough system analysis, testing, and troubleshooting to guarantee optimal operation and performance of automation systems.
  • Technical Support and Training: Provide expert technical support and training to Engineers, Technicians, and Customers, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and tools to operate systems effectively.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all projects meet regulatory standards and adhere to strict safety requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of experience in control systems engineering
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in PLC programming and configuration, with experience in Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider Electric platforms. Solid knowledge of motion control, sensor integration, and data acquisition systems.
  • Industry Expertise: Experience with robotics or advanced automation systems. Familiarity with Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, machine learning, and predictive maintenance.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and a strong ability to work effectively within a team environment.
