JOB SUMMARY:
Position supports the customer service department as a technical liaison between the customer and Lumibird.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position has no direct responsibilities for supervising other employees but does require the ability to provide effective instruction and training to other members on the team.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides customer support via telephone and email.

• Respond promptly to CSE's inquiries to resolve customer complaints.
• Direct request and unresolved issues to the designated resource.
• Inspects returned product and assesses parts and labor requirements to assist in planning and scheduling.

• Repairs and provides maintenance of products returned from the field.
• Provides troubleshooting of electronic assemblies.
• Provider training and instruction to other team members.

• Completes necessary documentation for repairs in an accurate/detailed manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Computer literacy.
• Ability to work within time parameters.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for training.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in laser, optoelectronic or related technology.
• 2+ years of experience with laser integration or laser servicing and customer support.
• Preferred experience in servicing and repairing electronic and optical equipment.
• Preferred knowledge of optical, electronic and electrical systems, subassemblies and components.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to use fingers to manipulate small parts.

• Ability to use hands to seize, hold and grasp.
• Ability to reach with hands and arms.
• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Ability to stoop, kneel and crouch occasionally.
• Requires working near moving mechanical parts.
• Requires good vision.
