Metallurgical Engineering Manager

We are seeking a Metallurgical Engineering Manager who will lead and improve an engineering organization which will design, develop, products and systems for a global aerospace manufacturer.

Responsibilities Include:

• Supervise and lead engineers who design, plan and develop product and systems
• Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma)
• Experience in failure analysis
• Improve product development and cost efficiency
• Manage skilled staff including performance and salary reviews
• Hire, train, and mentor other engineers and supporting staff
• Develop budget to support profit planning activities
• Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Metallurgy
• 8-10 years of experience in a closely related field
• Lean experience is preferred
