Job Description

The Technical Sales position is responsible for developing and growing strategic customers. This role demands a proactive and strategic approach to expand Bosch Rexroth's market presence and ensure sustained growth through effective business development strategies. We seek an accomplished sales professional with a demonstrated history of nurturing strong relationships with both partners and customers.

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify, plan, and develop new customer opportunities and contacts at key growth accounts within the assigned territory and channel partners.
  2. Sales and support of Bosch Rexroth Automation and Electrification (AE) products.
  3. Able to review customer applications, and working with Application Engineers, Product Sales Managers and Inside Sales, propose the best AE solution.
  4. Determine pricing offered to direct customers, and work with channel partners on pricing, including special pricing agreements.
  5. Provide input to Bosch Rexroth sales management, product management and customer support teams in the areas of sales policies, pricing, market growth and trends, competitive information, and sales initiatives.
  6. Able to make technical presentations, and conduct basic product training when needed.
  7. Assist RKAM/GKAM in driving the specification process and supporting growth at defined accounts.
  8. Provide regular reporting activities through the use of CRM for account activity, opportunities, quotations, account development, etc.
  9. Provide reports, as required, in a timely fashion (i.e., expense reports, business plans, etc.).
  10. Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, trade show exhibits, etc., as required.
  11. Participate in special assignments, as required.
  12. Typical travel up to 50% to western regions within the US (higher as needed based on customer needs).

Qualifications:

  1. Must possess a technical or engineering degree (BSME/BSEE preferred) and have an understanding of electromechanical principles.
  2. Prefer 5 years of sales experience in either regional OEM sales or in a Key Market Segment.
  3. Knowledge of the Automation and Electrification products (PLC, motion controls, HMI, I/O, edge, computing, software solutions, etc.), and machine applications encountered within Factory Automation.
  4. Demonstrates ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies to drive profitable growth.
  5. Clear understanding of sales processes.
  6. Fast learner who can understand complex technical issues and effectively communicate relevant specifics to non-technical customers.
  7. Strong communication skills.
  8. Capable of conducting technical and sales presentations to key clients.
  9. Works well in a team environment as well as independently.
  10. Necessary time management skills to handle a consistently high level of sales activity and calls.
  11. Strong organizational and project management skills.
  12. Entrepreneurial driven mindset.

Additional Information:

This position will have a salary range of $120,000 - $155,000 annually. In addition to the base rate, the position will have an annual bonus potential of 0% - 35% of annual salary based upon individual targets and company performance. This position is benefits eligible which includes medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, life insurance and other company offered benefits including a retirement plan which includes 401(k) company match and a defined contribution.
