Profile Marine Lead Engineer

We are looking for a Marine Lead Engineer who can be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality marine systems for offshore energy structures such as FPSOs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and collaborating with multiple engineering disciplines to support offshore energy projects.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Independently lead and deliver high-quality, cost-effective marine systems designs for offshore floating facilities, particularly focusing on FPSOs, and floating LNG products.
  • Contribute to all stages of project development, including Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure integration of marine systems with other disciplines (e.g., Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety, and Regulatory).
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design and specification of marine systems and equipment.
  • Ensure designs comply with industry standards, classification society rules (e.g., ABS, DNV GL, BV, Lloyds) and relevant regulations
  • Participate in design reviews and technical assessments (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, etc.).
  • Support projects globally, which may include short- or long-term assignments at the company's project offices or shipyards worldwide.
  • Keep updated on the latest marine systems technologies and implement advancements where commercially and technically feasible.
  • Ensure proper implementation of HSSE policies within marine systems design.

Requirements Marine Lead Engineer

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree (or equivalent professional certification) in Marine Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Higher Seafaring College, or General Operational Technology (AOT).
  • At least 2 years of experience in marine systems engineering and design, preferably during Pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design phases.
  • In-depth knowledge of conceptual and detailed design for marine and production systems on floating offshore facilities (FSOs, FPSOs, oil & gas carriers, chemical tankers, drilling units, semisubmersibles, TLPs).
  • Strong interface knowledge with related disciplines, such as Naval Architecture, Electrical & Instrumentation, Piping, HVAC, Process, and Technical Safety.
  • Preferably, experience working with shipyards, marine equipment vendors, and manufacturers.
  • Experience in the engineering, design, or operation of LNG carriers is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the latest marine systems technology, including the ability to assess and specify suitable equipment.
  • Knowledge of classification societies' rules (e.g., ABS, DNV GL, BV, Lloyds) and experience in HSSE policy implementation.
  • Experience in review methods such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA, and report reviews (HP/LP, SIF).
  • Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing environments and priorities.
  • Resilience and agility in handling project demands and adversity.
