DevOps Engineer

Job Title: DevOps Engineer

Location: Houston, TX

Job Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with development and support teams to design and implement deployment, provisioning, and integration workflows.
2. Develop and maintain tools associated with deployment and our DevOps platform.
3. Optimize the performance of our CI/CD/CT pipelines by updating and designing new processes.
4. Work with internal stakeholders to develop best practices for managing and reducing security risks.
5. Prepare environments for development, testing, user acceptance testing, performance, scalability, and reliability analysis.
6. Contribute to the development and management of the organization’s incident management and disaster recovery processes.

Skills Required

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT, including substantial DevOps experience and release management practices.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
3. Proficiency in DevOps and CI/CD concepts and building CI/CD pipelines with source control such as GIT and Azure DevOps/TFS.
4. Experience with Docker containerization, Kubernetes, ServiceMesh, API Gateway and Proxy Server.
5. Familiarity with Agile development practices, Scrum/Kanban or other Agile work decomposition and management methodologies.
6. Strong knowledge of SQL Server (or other RDBMS) configuration, administration, backups and recovery.
