Our systems include highly efficient and large-scale platforms built on Amazon's cloud infrastructure. For this position, you will have a strong background in OO design with a modern programming language. Experience working with web services, XML, JSON, and Apache services is desired. Linux system development experience is a plus. You should be able to multi-task, quickly adapt to new environments and changing requirements, learn new systems, create reliable code, and find scalable solutions to difficult problems.

You are highly motivated and thrive in an open-ended problem environment. You enjoy engaging in discussions with smart people and are excited about developing a top-notch consumer web application and user experience.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Lead the design and implementation of automated solutions.
2. Have a strong background in OO design with Java/C++ and influence the team to maintain high standards.
3. Build innovative systems that are highly efficient and scalable.
4. Communicate effectively with team members including SDETs, SDEs, QAEs, Product Managers, and stakeholders.

About the Team

We are building a new team focused on next-gen automation and monitoring solutions to raise the end-customer bar. If you have experience building large-scale, high-performance products and are interested in designing services to handle large datasets, this is the job for you.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2. 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience.
3. Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience.
2. Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
