Job Title: Frontend Software Engineer (Contract)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a skilled Software Engineer for a large client of ours providing cutting-edge software solutions to those in the legal industry. This role offers a great opportunity for someone passionate about software development and who wants to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a talented team. As part of a cross-functional team consisting of a product manager, designer, and 4-6 software engineers and QA analysts, you will be an active partner in the design, coding, unit testing, and release of new features and enhancements for our client’s growing customer base.
Responsibilities
- Work with Product Designers to implement the next generation of software products
- Build efficient and reusable front-end components and systems
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Collaborate with other team members
- Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering
- Champion the adoption of new technologies
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience building web applications
- Expert knowledge of modern JavaScript technologies such as Angular, React, and Typescript
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS/LESS/SASS
- Ability to write high-performance, reusable code for UI components
- Experience integrating with back-end web services via REST-based APIs
- Experience developing responsive interfaces for web and mobile
- Passion for performance debugging and benchmarking
- BS degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field
Highly Desired
- Experience with NextJS or another React framework
- Strong interest in building delightful, intuitive user experiences
- Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest and JUnit
- Working knowledge of backend technologies like Java Spring Boot, Node, REST-based API development
- Knowledge of web architecture and the HTTP protocol
- Understanding of microservices architecture
- Experience with MVC development
- Knowledge of caching strategies
- Knowledge of cloud development
- Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD environments
- Experience developing internationalized software
- Experience integrating and configuring CMS, CDP, tag managers, marketing analytics and other MarTech technologies
