Nova Engineering Team is looking for a System Tool Engineer to work with Design Engineers, Product Managers and Researchers to participate in the ongoing development, integration and characterization of a novel metrology solutions across several product lines. This person will be part of a highly skilled and efficient team of System Engineers with significant combined experience in instrumentation for Semiconductor production environment. This position provides an opportunity to have a large impact in a rapidly growing division.
Pay Range: $130,000- $170,000 Annually (DOE)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Tool troubleshooting and root cause analysis, know the process flow and key domains.
- characterize complex optical (x-ray) systems for placement inside vacuum chambers.
- Technical definition and detailing of system high-level requirements (SW/HW)
- Take on assignments with high complexity, demonstrating effective and creative problem-solving skills.
Total ownership of system concepts:
- Incorporate data acquisition and instrument control for complex diagnostic of systems.
- Executing experimental projects using exiting HW from conception to completion.
- Conduct data collection and analysis to support comprehensive system evaluations.
Requirements
- Passion for technology and a commitment to expanding technical skills and knowledge.
- BS, MS or PhD in Engineering. Electrical Engineering or Physics - advantage
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field
- Capability of handle assignments with high complexity with minimum supervision
- MATLAB and/or Python programming experience
- Prior experience with vacuum systems is a plus but not required.
- Good hands-on skills for HW testing and characterization is a plus
- Background in Optics - advantage
