The On-Device AI Team at TikTok is at the forefront of embedding advanced AI technologies directly into devices worldwide. Leveraging our proprietary AI engine, we streamline the creation, integration, testing, and deployment of AI-driven features. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and enhance the core On-Device AI engine for diverse platforms.
2. Employ efficient machine learning techniques and hardware optimizations to improve algorithmic performance.
3. Seamlessly integrate state-of-the-art AI algorithms into TikTok and additional products.
4. Translate emerging research into practical, user-centric applications.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BS/MS in Computer Science or in a related field
2. 1+ years of industrial Python/C++ experience, solid CS fundamentals and problem-solving skills
3. Experience in one or more of the following specializations: Generative AI, Deep Learning, Computer Vision.
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Demonstrated expertise in advanced algorithm system design and implementation, including but not limited to inference engines, algorithm pipelines, e2e ML solutions and LLM/AIGC applications.
2. Deep knowledge in machine learning optimizations such as quantization, pruning, knowledge distillation, Neural Architecture Search (NAS), and optimizations for large models.
3. Proficiency in enhancing performance across various hardware platforms, including CPUs, GPUs, DSPs, and NPUs.

Job Information:

?For Pay Transparency?Compensation Description (annually): The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $112200 - $147000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
