Systems Engineer- Cloud Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer to support operations and maintenance efforts for a research and development (R&D) ground system. This role involves integrating updated common services and ensuring seamless functionality within a complex IT environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in system integration, troubleshooting, and performance optimization. Strong technical expertise and problem-solving skills are essential for maintaining system efficiency and reliability. What you'll do:

1. Assist in developing systems engineering processes for the planning, design, development, deployment, integration and test, configuration management of R&D ground systems.
2. Help build mission-critical, highly available, high-performance networked systems in a team-oriented environment.
3. Develop systems engineering-related documentation to include operational concept, requirements, specifications, interface control documents, and validation & verification plans.
4. Conduct system planning and design for expansion of these resources to meet program needs.
5. Support ground system related trade studies.

Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:

1. Associates degree and seven (7+) years of relevant experience; OR Bachelors degree with five (5+) years of relevant experience; OR Masters degree with three (3+) years of relevant experience. Four (4) additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree.
2. This position requires an active TS/SCI with poly. The candidate must maintain the clearance.
3. Active CompTIA Security+ certification.
4. Experience developing and supporting system engineering processes across the entire system lifecycle to include the analysis, planning, design, development, deployment, integration, test, or configuration of software.
5. Experience utilizing Ansible for deployment purposes.
6. 3+ years experience with DevSecOps utilizing CI/CD.
7. Experience using Linux Command Line Interface (RHEL).
8. Experience with Git/GitLab.
9. Experience with Jenkins.
10. Experience with IaaS, AWS.
11. Experience with Rancher, Kubernetes and Docker.
12. Experience with scripting, python or bash.
13. Experience using Atlassian tools such as Confluence and JIRA.
14. Working knowledge of cloud services in PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS as well as trends in the cloud space.

1. Demonstrated experience with AWS, certification.
2. Strong analytic and research skills – must be detail oriented.
3. Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency.
4. Effectively interact with other personnel across programs.
5. Excellent Communication Skills.
6. Experience working with the Amazon Web Services Management Console and the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI).
7. Familiarity with Agile SAFe 5.0 methodology.
8. Self-starter with ability to work independently and with stakeholders.
9. Familiarity with Palantir products (Foundry, Apollo).

Target Salary Range:
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.#J-18808-Ljbffr
