Leads the development, evaluation and implementation of new and innovative principles, processes and applications.The Main ResponsibilitiesAnalyzes, administers, and maintains telecommunications and network cabling infrastructure.Responsible for tasks assigned by project managers in connection with service orders and repair activities related to Category 6 cabling, Voice over IP networks (VOIP), and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.In-depth knowledge of TDM networksDress, terminate and test cables and components, Ability to work with power tools and laddersAbility to work well with others and communicate with supervisors. Computer literate with basic Networking SkillsInstalls, maintains and repairs voice and data communications systemsInterprets service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematicsTests, locates, installs, and repairs cabling infrastructure associated with trouble calls, and performs routine maintenanceVerifies work order information and receipt of all necessary equipment and informationVerifies service by testing installed cabling; identifying, correcting, or escalating problemsWell versed in the use of network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs and fiber power meters.Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specificationsMaintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentationIdentify, track and remove abandoned cable, and keep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standardWhat We Look For in a CandidatePerform day-to-day management of overall contract operations, supporting multiple projects and groups of contractor personnel at multiple locations.Work with the higher-level program manager, if applicable, to provide effective and efficient management of the contractor’s effort.Allocate resources (staffing, facilities, and budgets) on assigned contract tasks.Review and provide input to the Integrated Program Baseline (or resource loaded schedule) to the Government.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and administrative requirements imposed by the contract in coordination with the Contractor’s contracts staff.Be knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 801 policies.Conduct and support requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting.Must have at least three (3) years of demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms such as Earned Value Management and at least five (5) years direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment.CompensationThe starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location.
