# Data Engineer - volofin
volofin, a specialty finance company focused on the commercial aviation market, is seeking a talented Data Engineer to join our Quantitative Analytics team. Led by aviation industry veterans, we specialize in structured finance, aviation investment, and quantitative and big data analysis.
## About the Role
As a Data Engineer at volofin, you will play a crucial role in building and optimizing our data infrastructure. You'll work closely with team members to manage data flow, ensure consistency in data delivery and utilization across multiple projects, and develop data-driven tools to support smarter business decisions.
## Primary Responsibilities
- - Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines using SQL, Python, PySpark, or similar tools
- - Manage and optimize our databases and data warehouses, conducting routine maintenance to ensure data integrity
- - Collaborate with the team to develop reports and conduct in-depth data analysis
- - Apply statistical and data mining methods to extract valuable insights from large datasets
- - Integrate third-party data sources to enrich our company's data assets
- - Develop data-driven analytical tools to support decision-making and risk management processes
## Required Qualifications
- - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- - Proficiency in SQL, Spark, and Python
- - Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehousing concepts
- - Experience with common data science toolkits (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn)
- - Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., D3.js, Matplotlib, Seaborn)

## Preferred Qualifications
