Role: Senior Software Automation Test Engineer
Duration: Full Time Role
Location: Essex County, MA

Responsibilities:

  1. Technical leader for test projects (Verification & Validation).
  2. Transition manual test methodologies into automated processes.
  3. Innovate and figure out new ways to lessen test times.
  4. Tie software automation into test fixtures for system-level functional tests.
  5. Develop tools for conditional testing (risk and mitigation).
  6. Build a strong working relationship with software development engineers and be a liaison.
  7. Create reports to estimate, provide insight, plan and define the course towards our goals.
  8. Mentor and train other engineers to bring them into an automated test process.
  9. Maintain schedules, document work done, provide metrics to leadership.
  10. Participate in manual hands-on testing as needed.
  11. Subject expert on automated testing methodologies.

Skills/Experience:

Must Haves:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience as a software automation test engineer.
  3. Experience leading projects and teams.
  4. Proficient with Python and other scripting languages and tools.
  5. Proficient with C, and other modern development languages and tools.
  6. Solid grasp of test methodologies and use them to produce test procedures.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Experience using development tools (Jenkins, Jira, Git, Confluence, etc.).

Nice to haves:

  1. Experience with Real-Time Operating Systems.
  2. Embedded devices.
  3. Agile methodologies.
  4. FDA regulations.
  5. Medical devices.
  6. Designing automated fixture hardware.
  7. Defect tracking systems.
  8. Cardiovascular Electrophysiology.
