Job Requirements / Description
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Applications Support Engineer to support our customers and internal teams by providing expert technical assistance. This role involves developing example programs using our public API, including ROS (Robot Operating System) examples, and requires an understanding of robotic arms. You will collaborate closely with our engineering and sales support teams to ensure seamless product integration and optimal performance for our users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for customers using our bionic products, focusing on the integration and application of our public API.
- Develop and maintain example programs and tutorials to help customers utilize our API effectively.
- Create and manage ROS and non-ROS-based examples, ensuring compatibility with our products, particularly robotic arms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the installation, configuration, and operation of our products, with a focus on software and hardware integration.
- Collaborate with product development and engineering teams to provide feedback and ensure customer needs are met.
- Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and webinars for customers and partners.
- Document support processes and create user-friendly guides to assist customers.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance our product offerings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in applications engineering, technical support, or a similar role within the robotics, bionics, or medical device industry.
- Proficiency in Python and C programming languages.
- Experience developing applications with ROS and working with robotic arms.
- Strong understanding of software and hardware integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the bionics or medical devices industry.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with additional programming languages or tools relevant to robotics and bionics.
