Role: Snowflake Engineer with Python, SQL and PySpark experience

Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid 3 days to office - Must be local or ready to relocate

Job Description
This position is for a Cloud Data / Reporting engineer with a background in SQL and data warehousing for enterprise level systems. The position calls for someone that is comfortable working with business users along with business analyst expertise.

Major Responsibilities

1. Experience designing and developing Enterprise Data Warehouse solutions.
2. Demonstrated proficiency with Data Analytics and Data Insights.
3. Proficient in writing SQL queries and programming including stored procedures and reverse engineering existing processes.
4. Leverage SQL, programming languages (Python or similar), and/or ETL Tools (Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks, Talend, and SnowSQL) to develop data pipeline solutions to ingest and exploit new and existing data sources.
5. Perform code reviews to ensure fit to requirements, optimal execution patterns, and adherence to established standards.

Skills

1. 10+ years - Enterprise Data Management
2. 10+ years - SQL Server based development of large datasets
3. 5+ years with Data Warehouse Architecture, Snowflake experience preferred
4. 3+ years' experience in Finance / Banking industry with some understanding of Securities and Banking products and their data footprints.
5. 2+ years Python coding experience
6. Experience with PySpark (good to have, should understand the architecture)
7. Proficient with Data Visualization tools
8. Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities such as SnowSQL and SnowPipe
9. Working knowledge of MS Azure configuration items with respect to Snowflake
10. Hands-on experience with Tasks, Streams, Time travel, Optimizer, Metadata Manager, data sharing
11. Experience in Data warehousing - OLTP, OLAP, Dimensions, Facts, and Data modeling
12. Previous experience leading an enterprise-wide Cloud Data Platform migration with strong architectural and design skills
13. Capable of discussing enterprise level services independent of technology stack
14. Experience with Cloud based data architectures, messaging, and analytics
15. Superior communication skills
16. Cloud certification(s)
17. Any experience with Regulatory Reporting is a Plus

Education
Minimally a BA degree within an engineering and/or computer science discipline
Master's degree strongly preferred
