**** Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer***

Seeking an experienced Aerospace Supplier Quality Engineer. 2 to 3 days per week for a 3 month contract opportunity in Jacksonville, FL.  Prefer a local to Jacksonville, FL candidate.

Qualifications:

• Self-starter with a desire for problem solving and process improvement
• Minimum of 5 years proven experience of driving (RCCA) root cause and corrective actions with suppliers
• Minimum of 5 years proven background in quality assurance and thorough understanding of quality tools and techniques
• Experience in using problem solving techniques and applying continuous improvement techniques.
• Minimum of 5 years in understanding of key aerospace quality standards such as AS9100, AS9102, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years good technical engineering knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and contract documentation
• Experience and ability to provide objective inspection support on mechanical commodities
• Minimum of 5 years actual hands on experience performing audits to ISO or AS9100 criteria
• Attention to detail and methodical approach to organizing daily tasks and executing to plan
• Ability and experience in using professional conduct and good communication skills to influence both internally and external
• Individual must have a current/operating laptop with knowledge to access internet and other applications as well as reliable cell phone access
• Experience with reporting using MS applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Supplier Quality Engineer will drive supplier quality management activities in line with company control procedures, and relevant regulatory standards, i.e. AS9100
• Drive prioritized supplier nonconformance management and root cause analysis
• Ensure quality assurance performance for new and existing suppliers including audits, source inspections, First Article Inspection sign-off and change control process management
• Ensure accurate flow down of quality requirements to suppliers throughout Product Manufacturing Lifecycle
• Resource will report to supplier quality and development teams on daily tasks and supplier performance ratings/status
