Software Engineer

Job Description
Software Engineers at Trimble Maps are responsible for designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining world class products. This specific position requires improving existing high availability web services and web apps, plus implementing new products and features in the same areas.
Most importantly, this position requires a fundamentally strong coder and a persistent problem solver who:
- Has a bias for taking action, experimenting, iterating quickly, offering ideas, and speaking up.
- Has the ability to see the end goal and the determination to deliver results iteratively.
- Is curious to build knowledge, share knowledge, and learn new skills.
- Insists on high standards from both products and teammates alike.
General Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, or similar degree
- 0-5 years of professional experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- You have attempted something difficult and have either succeeded or failed
- You can work with an Agile team, but you’re focused on the outcome more than the process
Some of the skills we are looking for
- Excellent coding, debugging, and problem solving skills
- Understanding of object oriented concepts and SOLID coding principles
- Professional or academic experience coding in any of: C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, or Golang
- Experience with AWS or similar public cloud platforms and services
- Experience using complex data structures and algorithms to solve problems
- Desire to automate integration testing, build/deployment pipelines, and everything else in sight
Pay Equity
Trimble provides the following compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full time schedule.
