Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add a Staff Electronics Engineer – Software Lead to our team in Rancho Bernardo, CA . This position will be in our Avionics Integration Organization. This candidate will be the technical lead and primary interface for the Ground Control software supporting deficiency investigations, development, integration, testing, and sustainment artifacts for updates to the system with a major software supplier for the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Mission Systems Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Coordinating the efforts of the software supplier for multiple software programs and efforts and seeing projects through from start to finish.
2. Coordinating with the subcontracts management team, systems engineering, supplier quality assurance representatives, safety engineers, cyber team, test team, logistics engineers, cost account manager, and scheduler.
3. Coordinating and managing the execution of all phases of software performance, including planning, new capability development, testing, deliveries, deployment, and sustainment.
4. Reviewing supplier software product documentation.
5. Reporting software supplier status to management.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 12 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and 10 years of related engineering experience; OR a PhD in a STEM discipline with 7 years of related engineering experience.
2. Active in-scope, DoD Secret clearance.
3. At some point, selected candidate may be required to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP).

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience managing Software suppliers as part of a Government/DOD contract.
2. Familiarity with full Software Development Life Cycle.
3. Experience with Agile software development, integration, and testing.
4. Experience with programming and scripting languages.
5. Experience with government acquisition related to software development, software production, and software sustainment.
6. Familiarity with Prime and supplier proposal development including technical evaluations of supplier proposals.
7. CAM/EV experience.

Salary Range: $165,000 - $247,600. The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
