Job Description:

As aScientist, Systems Engineer, you will be the Chief Systems Engineer, the technical lead to the development, integration, and operation of leading-edge technologies that deliver mission-critical solutions for our customers. In this role you will lead technical planning, concept of operations definition, requirements elicititation and derivation, and analyses throughout the system development lifecycle. In addition, you will lead and perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition in a model-based system engineering environment.

Essential Functions:

• Lead the development of electronic hardware and software architectures and designs based on system level requirements
• Develop and manage internal requirements, CONOPs and interface control documents from customer / product requirements
• Own the full system development lifecycle including concept, design fabrication, production, test, installation, operations, maintenance and disposal
• Key technical liason between senior program managers and customers to define approaches and strategies
• Lead trade studies to identify solutions which meet requirements
• Develop and provide guidance to development teams at internal and external gate reviews such as technical baseline reviews and design reviews
• Lead functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications
• Ensure the logical and systemic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions which meet technical, schedule, and cost constraints

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
• Current TS/SCI with CI Poly Security Clearance or above; US Citizenship required

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or project management, and/or model-based systems engineering
• Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering
• Systems Integration of subsystems and multi-segment systems
• Sub-contractor management including requirements, integration, and testing
