Structural Engineer:

With a diverse portfolio of projects, serving the commercial, institutional, municipal, and manufacturing industries, we are looking to expand our team with a talented estimator. Having invested significantly into automation of the fabrication shop, we now have the capabilities of producing up to 30 tons of steel a day. With the expansion of their fabrication capabilities, they have caught the attention of major GC's not just regionally but nationally and need to add a talented Estimator to help lead the team.
Structural Engineer Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to oversee our engineering department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in steel construction, extensive design experience, and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring compliance with industry standards. You will over see the engineering team, help with connection and other structural Design Projects, coordinate RFI's with detailers and project managers, stamp change orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering department and oversee the detailing team.
- Design and analyze steel structures for various projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Review and approve engineering designs, calculations, and detailed drawings.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes and standards.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of structural design experience, with a focus on steel construction.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication and erection processes.
- Proficient in structural design software.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
