Job Title : Assembly Process Engineer

Position Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Assembly Process Engineer to join our team in Kansas City, MO. This role focuses on supporting and optimizing assembly processes while playing a key role in internal product launches. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in assembly process engineering, with a strong focus on continuous improvement and effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities :

• Lead and optimize assembly line processes, ensuring efficiency and quality.
• Work closely with the quality and production teams, spending 95% of the time on the shop floor.
• Support product launches, including limited travel for truck launches and pre-builds.
• Create and maintain detailed work instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Collaborate with corporate teams and customers, often across different regions.
• Drive continuous improvement (CI) and cost-saving initiatives, presenting solutions to management.
• Conduct time studies and implement rebalancing efforts to optimize production.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree highly preferred (Industrial Engineering background is a plus), though candidates with significant experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 2+ years of assembly process engineering experience and PFMEA
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with diverse teams and departments.
• Proven ability to lead process improvement initiatives and solve recurring production issues.
