Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE)

Currently, we are partnered with a premier Maryland-based intelligence community client in search of a highly talented Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support mission-critical programs.

Job Summary:

You'll join an elite team of security engineers working on nationally significant programs, where you'll shape and influence the security architecture of complex systems with exacting interface, performance, and security requirements. Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Lead the validation and verification of system security requirements for large-scale, geographically distributed systems
• Drive security architecture decisions and implementations to ensure uniform application of security policy
• Conduct security assessments and risk analysis throughout the program lifecycle
• Collaborate with system engineering, test engineering, and integration teams to ensure architecture meets classified processing requirements
• Evaluate and test security-critical software implementations
• Provide thought leadership on security architecture to program managers and technical stakeholders
• Plan and conduct security verification testing of specialized security devices
• Participate in program increment planning and agile team activities

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance with current FS Poly from Maryland Intelligence Customer required (must be within past 5 years)
• Current CISSP certification required
• Experience applying Risk Management Framework to complex systems
• Strong background in Defense in Depth principles and technologies
• Expertise in security tools such as Nessus, NMAP, and Wireshark
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or related field
• Experience with secure configurations of desktop and server operating systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
