Due to the growth of our business, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the quality of our e-commerce solutions, with a Full-Stack approach requiring mostly Backend, as well as some Frontend testing capabilities. You will evolve in a highly technical environment with challenging payment applications development and added value services products.
Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive API and Frontend web app test plans and strategies based on project requirements
- Execute test cases, track and analyze results, and provide continuous feedback to the development team and other stakeholders
- Set up an automated process for repetitive checks on webservices, using industry-standard tools and frameworks
- Work collaboratively across several teams of engineers in an Agile setting according to testing projects and priorities (tech stack: PHP & Java FullStack)
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospective meetings bringing a QA viewpoint to technical decisions and challenges
- Contribute to the creation and improvement of internal documentation
- Collaborate with the QA engineering team on common topics and concerns
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Proven 2-3 years of previous experience as a QA Engineer including a role that required API testing
- A good level of both English and French is mandatory
- Strong understanding of API technologies, protocols (REST, SOAP), and authentication methods
- Proficiency in API testing tools such as Postman
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Autonomous and able to relay a good overview of the state of the system
- Knowledge of Squash TM is preferred
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG)
