We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Engineer with proficiency in SAP to join our dynamic team.
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Cost Engineer with a strong background in SAP to manage and control project costs. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cost management processes and the ability to work closely with project teams to ensure financial efficiency and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, monitor, and control project budgets, ensuring costs are within approved limits.
Utilize SAP for cost tracking, reporting, and analysis.
Proficiency in MS Excel is required and will be assessed during the hiring process.
Prepare cost estimates, forecasts, and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost allocation and reporting.
Analyze cost variances and recommend corrective actions to maintain project profitability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards.
Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bids, and proposals.
Conduct regular cost reviews and audits to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Provide training and support to team members on cost management processes and SAP functionalities.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost engineering, with a strong emphasis on SAP.
Proficient in SAP (specifically in modules related to cost management, project systems, and financials).
Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong understanding of project management principles and cost control processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the oil and gas industry.
Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other financial software.
