Job Overview :
We are hiring an Engineering Manager for our Albany, NY office. The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical, electrical, or energy engineering and be skilled in three core areas:
- Managerial Leadership
- Technical Leadership
- Business Development
You’ll be involved in innovative projects focused on clean energy, electrification, and decarbonization , while helping to grow our engineering presence in the region.
As part of a team that has provided energy efficiency services for over 30 years, you'll join a collaborative work environment where you’ll be mentored by industry leaders. You’ll also lead and mentor a talented team of engineers eager to innovate in the field of clean energy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with program/department managers, design teams, and construction managers.
- Drive business development for clean energy projects in the region.
- Recruit and expand the mechanical, electrical, and energy engineering team.
- Mentor the regional clean energy team.
- Conduct systems assessments and develop high-level project strategies.
- Perform field investigations and condition assessments of mechanical, electrical, and energy systems.
- Assist with project and proposal development.
- Develop design scopes, schematics, and P&ID drawings.
- Create implementation plans and schedules.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and reports.
- Meet with clients to support engineering projects throughout design and construction.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Energy Engineering .
- PE license is preferred.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar certifications are a plus.
- Expertise in multiple areas of Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering .
- Strong experience in QA/QC for assigned tasks and projects.
- Ability to develop construction documents and support bidding and construction processes.
- Experience in MEP and energy project development .
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal teams and clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office ; experience with AutoCAD/Revit and building modeling software is a plus.
