Are you passionate about cybersecurity and ready to make an impact? Join Yardi’s 24x7x365 Cloud Services team as a Security Engineer I, where you will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support to ensure the security of Yardi’s Cloud and Corporate environments. You’ll work as part of a global team to prevent intrusions and protect client data, while also learning and maintaining knowledge of security standards like PCI, SOC2, and FedRAMP. If you're proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to work in a fast-paced environment focused on threat prevention and security compliance, this is the perfect role for you!

What You’ll Do:

  1. Serve as level I and II support for diagnosing and resolving issues systems that support the security posture of Yardi Systems' environment
  2. Work as part of a global team using team communication channels
  3. Learn and maintain knowledge of the Yardi Cloud environment
  4. Learn and maintain knowledge of the audit specifications of the Yardi Cloud environment (PCI, SOC2, EI3PA, FedRAMP)
  5. Maintain vulnerability scan schedules and monitor job success
  6. Scan and prepare data for use in configuration hardening and compliance benchmarking
  7. Administer identity governance and privileged access management programs by discovering and maintaining metadata and aggregations
  8. Facilitate threat analysis, network penetration testing, and network assessments to determine threat and risk factors
  9. Assist with responding to active security threats and ensure that all threats are mitigated quickly, effectively, and with minimal business impact
  10. Develop documentation of security processes, policies, and procedures for internal and audit use

Who You Are:

  1. Bachelor's degree in information technology, information security, computer science, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  2. Three (3) years’ help desk, application support, IT support, or systems administration experience
  3. CompTIA Security+ certification or other relevant industry certification
  4. Ability to participate in an enterprise 24x7 support environment with weekend and on-call work
  5. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow processes
  6. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  7. Motivation – you are internally driven and can exercise sound judgment
  8. Flexibility, and the ability to be resourceful and manage changing priorities
  9. Basic knowledge of escalation
  10. Basic understanding of information security methodology
  11. Working knowledge of digital encryption methodologies (TLS, Mobile, Wireless, Remote Access Protocols)
  12. Working knowledge of email security methodologies
  13. Working knowledge of SQL
  14. Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP), security methodologies (NAC), and topologies
  15. Knowledge of operating systems (Windows and Linux)
  16. Understanding of system monitoring and syslog
  17. Ability to communicate effectively with other team members
  18. Excellent oral and written communication skills
  19. Excellent time management and prioritization skills

Ideal to Have:

  1. One plus (1+) years of experience working with security solutions and technologies
  2. One plus (1+) years of experience working with information/endpoint/network security
  3. One plus (1+) years of experience conducting vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, or computer forensics
  4. Solid understanding of information security methodology
  5. Working knowledge of analyzing, responding, and remediating network intrusions, web app, and server attacks
  6. Working knowledge of scripting (Python, REST API, Java BeanShell, PowerShell)
  7. Understanding of common vulnerability analysis techniques and information security threat vectors
  8. Knowledge of security event data analysis
  9. Knowledge of Linux and Kubernetes
  10. Knowledge of root cause determination
  11. Understanding of impacts to environment and clients
