SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER CONSULTANT

One of our global financial clients is seeking a Senior Network Engineer Consultant to work in their NYC office at least 2 days a week in a Hybrid environment. This person will focus on the installation, support, maintenance, and design of hardware and software in accordance with best practices. Only apply for this position if you live in the New York City area and are able to work at least 2 days a week in the office and are a US Citizen or green card holder.

Principal Accountabilities:

1. Engineering - Respond to third-level escalation and advanced troubleshooting for endemic problems in the environment. Conduct lab verification of expected operational and technical behaviors. Implement planning for new initiatives and expansion of existing infrastructures.
2. Support - Respond to second-level escalation, providing on-call rotation in the organization and hands-off changes. Audit and document changes to the environment. Implement execution for new initiatives and expansion of existing infrastructures.

Skills & Software Requirements:
Advanced-level knowledge of:

• R/S: OSPF, BGP, TCP/IP, L2 architectures
• Multicast: PIM-SM, MSDP, AnyCastRP
• Security: CISCO Firewalls, ACLs, industry best practices, Internet architectures
• Load Balancing: F5 LB, iRules, persistence, etc.
• VPN: IPSec and SSL
